Make Big $ In Transport Bookings

Not Rocket Science To Build Steady Clients

This is a specialized business that can fill particular underserved niches or you can do a better marketing job and develop your own clients right in the middle of lots of competition. The trick is to find a transport need and fill it.

Letís say I have two horses in Colorado that I want to get delivered alive and well to Ohio. You look up a person or business that does bookings of animal *(and or pets) transport of this type.

You handle the booking with your file of people that offer this type of service. Your investment, is the time to put together a file of people that can handle specialized transport and then you develop clients or a method of getting people to contact you when they need this service,

You can do this all on the internet with a phone number.

Letís say you are in Auto transport, there is a big need for this, because people have a vehicle in one city and they want it in another city. They will pay for getting it there. Now if it is an antique they do not want it driven. You will find a transport service that hauls in an enclosed trailer or standard auto transport.

If grandpa died in a far away city, they want his car back home. They will pay to have it driven. You arrange the driver. Called drive away.

Biggest dollar volume potential that many are already in, but you can find your own niche, is the back haul semi. There are two needs

The semi company operator has a load from Sioux Falls of beef from the packing plant to San Francisco super markets but has to come back empty. You have a shipper, a catalog printer in Nevada that has a half million mail order pieces for a customer in Minneapolis. You book the semi in route back to South Dakota stop at Nevada, load the catalogs, go past the home base to Minneapolis.

Now this is all timing and thinking and doing some specialized matching but it is a big dollar business. There are likely local trucks that can be matched long term and make you income for years. Say they are going out once a week to some point five hundred miles away and coming back empty every week. You find a shipper there that wants to ship something weekly that is in the direction this truck is going empty...Every week.

Sturgis South Dakota Motorcycle rally happens every August and 100k plus people come from all over the country. Many do not want to spend two or three days on the road riding their motorcycle to the event.

So someone books up a huge trailer from say Chicago and they ship their motorcycle to Sturgis along with 30 others in the trailer. They are attorneys etc that can only get away for a weekend or a few days and cannot spend the time riding across country.

If a Phoenix Sun basketball player gets traded to New York, he ships his three cars to New York, he does not drive them...

When I bought a semi load of used newspaper vending machines, years ago from the San Diego Union when they bought all new ones, a back load semi hauled them cross country for a very reasonable rate since it was a refrigerated meat truck and was coming back empty.

The booking agent was in Grand Forks North Dakota, that I went thru and he had nothing to do with the trucking company other than finding them my load. Many years later had a relative in small town in Iowa needed a small amount of furniture moved to Arizona? Got him to book a back load semi in there to pick it up for less than half what the furniture movers would have charged. It took three weeks and went all over the country since it was in the front of the truck and had to be unloaded last, Trip including a load of used band instruments to Nevada that had to be unloaded first. We were in no hurry so no problem.

You tell them what you need delivered where and when and they match you up with someone that can do this for you.

There used to be drive away company ads wanting a car driven to many cities around the country. You got gas paid and a free trip for driving the car and you could take as many other people you wanted but got no pay. When I used to need to drive a van from my Seattle Business to Midwest I would advertise Driver help drive van straight thru, pay half gasoline costs,
