There are lots of video and camera businesses that I know about and if you have access to a good video camera (even the poor ones are pretty good these days) you can make a good living with video. I started in video in 1951 and cameras were like $25,000.00 for a decent one so we built our own and used for it for broadcasting for several years. A one camera station.
My job here is not to train you or set you up with a course or franchise, my job is to give you an overview and then if you decide to go further in your start up, you research it and learn all about it. However, maybe I should send you some places if I know about them and here is one that will help. Start with video inventory business.' Go here.
There are many other video information pages you can learn to do on this site also.
The typical one you hear about is on becoming a wedding videographer. You can learn all these specialized things on line and at your public library so I am going to mention some others.
There are 4 video standards around the world, so when we had a lot of people from Ethiopia working at the local packing plant, the folks back home would send them a video and it would not play.
We bought a conversion machine. We converted them and other peoples overseas video to the US and Japan standard. The machine handled all four formats and we charged like $12.00 each to convert them and make an American compatible copy. You can probably buy a used one on E Bay for under $100.
You could do this by mail over a wide area or the whole country and develop regular customers I am sure. It cost you a bucks for a blank DVD so you have price room.
Next, is lot of really neat video editing programs available for your pc and if you learn how to do one, people can buy it and do it themselves but only want to put all their videos and stills from over the years on one DVD for all the relatives etc. and not worth going thru the learning curve for one. They will pay you to edit. You can read up on how to convert their old 8mm movies to video easily too.
This is sort of like video scrap booking. There are people doing regular scrap booking on a computer and it is amazing what they turn out for people form memorabilia, and old photos etc. On regular scrap booking, you can learn video scrap booking.
You can put together a memorial video of still pictures and video of someone getting on in years or recently died. Put it all on DVD, for all the relatives etc. You can also do a web version including videos of a life history of someone, a memorial. You can post it on a web history with their name as the web address. We can show you how to do that.
Still pictures are easy to zoom in and out on like the civil war series on public television was a video of still pictures from the civil war.
Maybe there is a market to give out a DVD of a life story of someone at their funeral etc. who knows... you figure it out....make it work and you can do it nationwide. There are all sorts of video opportunities, not all have to do with a camera. We will take up more in future idea articles.

We do get income from Google ads, which they decide what runs and it pays our internet bills. Keeps the internet press
running, (pays the ISP).
But stop trying to figure out what we are pushing or selling, cause we are not. We are a 42 year publishing family, switching to the internet. Hoping we can help thousands more then our many small newspaper editions ever did.
