Can be combined and operated with other senior services. You will be able to get each of these clients voluntarily spread the word about your business having someone available even on short notice perhaps, to take mom to the doctor for appointments or for when needed on short notice (higher rate)

A son or daughter often cannot take off work to take mom to her scheduled appointment, or unplanned visit. This makes this service very valuable and can be charging at a high rate. Often the parent has plenty of money but has no one available or has to impose on someone to take them which they do not want to do, at least not on a regular basis.

This is not like delivering a package business; this is an important function that is a big part of this person’s life.

You will need to do our usual read of how to promote your business free of outlay (other then maybe some business cards) on the web and on craigslist and other free web media. You will need a web page, sort of like an always available brochure where they can read about your service and see your picture etc.

We are in the web business and we tell you it is easy to make a web page but for some it is scary. We are thinking of making a standard web page for say "takemomtotheDr.com and you could put your city, name, email and phone number on it, post it locally. The same page would work for the person starting this service in Anchorage as one in Atlanta. Each post it

With their town like Anchorage Appointmentbuddy.com otherwise the pages and explanation of the service would be identical, same message just different pictures, name and phone numbers etc.

You would then hand out your cards, or adv this Anchorage site (if you were the Anchorage person) on craigslist, this web site a place where they can go to find out the details about your new business.

You can do all this yourself for free...about $9 to register a name. That would be about it. Being all done and ready to go in pro manner however we decided may be worth something since it could be activated in 24 hours, so we are considering having some of our web people make one that all can use. Maybe cost you $2 a month to have them maintains it. Would that work?

In fact our people could make one for each of these senior businesses that all can use.

By the way on your Appointmentbuddy.com site you could run a link to your other senior services web pages. If they can remember the web name of one of your services they can get in and find the link to the other.

You have to work out your own price rate.

You might even discuss it with some doctor’s assistants. I am sure they have folks that need assistance in getting to their appointments and may be able to refer many to you if they are convinced you are reliable etc. In fact I am willing to bet if you went in a medical office building or two and stopped at 100 doctors offices and handed out cards with a web site link, (Cheaper and far better than a pamphlet and never gets lost and never has to be refilled) I would bet you would have some referred business within 24 hours.

Remember, a web site gives you the appearance of being serious and in the business. Not just someone that thought it a good idea this week and out of the business next week.
